It seems that I have outgrown/no longer have any of my summer dresses. This is a problem mainly because summer dresses are the perfect item. You slip one on and you are dressed. They go with sandals, wedges, and boots. The last question you have to ask yourself is which sweater, if any, are you going to wear?
Simple. Easy. No hassle. Now the problem is, as I stated above, I no longer have any of these excellent items of clothing. So, I went on a hunt to find just one. I scoured the third street promenade, went into two thrift stores, and even tried LF clothing. There were three problems I found – they either didn’t fit right, were way too short, or cost over $50. A summer dress over $50 isn’t worth it in my opinion. The only thing worth over $50 is a birthday dress, or jeans, and of course shoes.
This was a huge disappointment. My next step was to go look online. But, I had this bad feeling that if I had gone to the actual stores and not found anything, why would I find it online and why would I trust it to fit me. I don’t consider myself to have an oddly shaped body, in fact it’s fairly average in size. So my only conclusions are A. I’m cheap and B. I don’t like this short dress trend. If you have any suggestions on where I can look please feel free to let me know.
Last great thing about summer dresses (at least in my current position) is that I can wear them to work. Again, easy, simple, no hassle.
